We want wellbeing, we seek wellbeing. It is one of the main goals of modern society: everyone wants to feel well. According to the O.M.S., health is 'a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of the state of disease or infirmity'. Well-being is a state that involves all aspects of the human being, it is a condition of harmony between man and the environment, the result of a process of adaptation to multiple lifestyle factors. Dissatisfaction, stress, anxiety, insomnia, nervousness are typical ingredients of modern life and have negative repercussions in emotional and social relationships and on psychophysical wellbeing.

The symptoms of psychophysical discomfort include difficulty sleeping at night. Difficulty falling asleep, frequent awakenings and nightmares are all signs of a high level of stress and inner problems. Even Covid-19 has taken sleep away from us, at least from half of us. Anxiety tops the list of disorders that appear with quarantine, followed by insomnia.

The skin also shows signs of stress. The immune system is weakened and the protective skin barrier is compromised. The skin is more exposed to pathogens from outside and the result is the appearance of skin imperfections such as redness and dryness. The skin is dull, dull and small wrinkles appear more visible and deeper.
